Province IV: Day 2

I wore shorts all day. I'm from Minnesota (they think I have an accent down here - especially when I say that word, Minnesota) and it was no colder than a cool summer night in the land of lakes. Alex wore shorts, too :)

I was eagerly anticipating hearing diocesan reports from the young people of Province IV. There is amazing mission and ministry going on in this province. And these are generous Episcopalians, eager to share their journey.

They have a pretty amazing tradition of PYEs (Provincial Youth Events), too. This summer they are off to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. They are planning a mountain experience including music and stories from Cherokee and Appalachian cultures. Several service projects will be underway in cooperation with the National Park Service. Check out this video link created for the trip , Autumn in the Cove, by Alex Haralson, Diocesan Youth Coordinator of East Tennessee. Seriously, he filmed, played, edited, etc. Very cool.

Thanks for sharing Province IV!
